CANNOCK, UNITED KINGDOM - NOVEMBER 11: A floral tribute lays at the foot of a crucifix next to the graves at The German War Cemetery at Cannock Chase. The site is the only German war cemetery in Britain and has 4,855 graves and is maintained by The Commonwealth War Graves Commission on November 11, 2011 in Cannock, England. Across the world Armistice Day has been commemorated and traditionally marks the end of the WWI when Germany and the allied forces signed the armistice signaling the end of hostilities on the Western Front. The cessation of the war officially took effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month and is marked annually by services of remembrance for all those who have fallen in wars and a two minute silence.
