Artist fights drawings
A quirky cartoonist challenged his own creation to a fight — but he could only draw. Artist Alex Solis, 31, from Chicago, drew his skull-T-shirt-wearing alter ego, whom he calls Chuck, smashing his phone and stabbing his finger in his Inkteraction pictures.
But Solis got his own back with a punch to Chuck’s jaw before squashing him against the bottom of the page. The ink man tried to get under Chuck’s skin to win the fight by stretching and pulling the cartoon’s face as the drawings became more bloody.
Even when Solis manages to pull off Chuck’s face, the illustration refuses to be beaten and manages to snap its creator’s pencil so he can’t draw anymore. The idea for the gory tussle came from Solis’ previous work, a book called “Signs and Doodles,” which had the same concept of art that fought back. (Caters News/Liam Geraghty)
