If you're from the future and have come back to find the moment at which 3D printing got weird, you've arrived at the right day. A German artist just 3D-printed a replica of famous painter Vincent van Gogh's ear, using DNA from Lieuwe van Gogh, the great-great grandson of Van Gogh's brother Theo. The result is now on display at the Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany. Welcome to 2014. less
