In this Aug. 14, 2012 photo, former White House Chief of Staff William Daley take part in a discussion during a meeting of The Chicago Economic Club. Daley, a Chicago Democrat, is considering a run for Illinois governor in 2014. Another Democrat considering a run is Attorney General Lisa Madigan. A bid by the two would mean a primary challenge to Gov. Pat Quinn, the longtime political outsider and activist on liberal causes who ascended to the job after Rod Blagojevich was ousted from office in a corruption scandal. (AP Photo/M.
