In an Aug. 17, 2011 photo Cathy Collopy, collections and education coordinator at the Dinsmore Homestead in Boone County, Ky., holds a late 19th century "speaking picture book." The book features lithographs of farm animals with an accompanying poem; pull strings, seen at right, operate a bellows that creates the sound the animal makes. The Dinsmore Foundation received a$2,000 federal grant to have the book restored. (AP Photo/The Enquirer, Patrick Reddy) NO SALES MANDATORY CREDIT less
