Batteries sold separately: the art of Randy Regier

To artist Randy Regier toys are a common language, a shared cultural currency. An admirer of the design and industrial integrity from the 1950's and 1960's, Regier creates his toys (limited to one unit) from salvaged parts and pieces of vintage household, scientific and industrial parts. He even makes what appears to be mass-produced cardboard boxes for each piece. Born in 1964, Regier currently lives with his family in Wichita, Kansas where where he works full-time creating new art.
