- Kindergartener takes bus to wrong school, says she’s a new student, school totally buys it
School officials at Yates Magnet Elementary School in Schenectady, N.Y. totally bought it when a kindergarten girl showed up on Wednesday all by herself and pretended to be a new student all day. The student, Janeya Nevins, ended up at Yates Elementary because she got on the wrong school bus in the morning, reports the Times Union. Officials at Yates Magnet School seem to have been expecting a different new student on Wednesday—a first-grade girl. For reasons that are unclear, Nevins decided to tell school officials that she was, indeed, this new student.
- Former NATO commander says US is getting Ukraine about right
Adm. James Stavridis, who left his post as the first Navy man to command NATO last year and is now the dean of Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, thinks the Obama administration has gotten things about right in its response to Russia's military incursion into Ukraine's Crimea region. But in a brief interview yesterday, he stressed reducing international military tension over Ukraine while trying to find ways to isolate Russia over its current course. Earlier this month, Stavridis wrote a short piece for Foreign Policy with a list of suggestions for the US and NATO. He stressed the need for increased electronic and satellite surveillance of the area, information-sharing with the Ukrainian military, contingency planning for a possible full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, and moving NATO forces into the Black Sea, among other things.

- Lindsay Lohan Left a Handwritten List of Her Celebrity Conquests in a Hotel Bar
Today in celebrity gossip: Somebody found a purported list of Lindsay Lohan's famous hookups, Taylor Swift does not approve of Selena Gomez rekindling things with Justin Bieber, and Shailene Woodley continues to be terrific. In a slip-up that reflects either Lindsay Lohan's unapologetic trashiness or her straight-up awesomeness, it appears the beleaguered starlet accidentally left a handwritten list of all her Hollywood conquests in a hotel bar! Fortunately a "source" retrieved it and reported back to InTouch: Some are obvious (Wilmer Valderrama, Colin Farrell, Adam Levine) while others are eyebrow-raising (Joaquin Phoenix, Heath Ledger, James Franco) and others are just, uh, enviable (Nico Tortorella, Evan Peters, Jamie Dornan, Zac Efron, Garrett Hedlund).
