Bosnian national team coach Safet Susic gestures during an interview for the APTN in the meeting room of the country's Football Federation in Sarajevo Friday, April 1, 2011. Bosnia was suspended from international soccer by FIFA and UEFA on Friday and threatened with expulsion from the 2012 European Championship. Susic said the decision to expel Bosnian footballers from the international matches due to interference of politics in sports in the country was equal "to sending an innocent man to prison." He voiced hopes that FIFA and UEFA will help the sport-lovers in Bosnia to rescue football from the shackels of politics. The ban on Bosnia's national and club teams playing internationally was imposed because its soccer federation is split on ethnic lines and refused requests to replace a three-member presidency with a single leader. less
