PENDINE, WALES - AUGUST 14: Driver Joe Wales (2L) and his father Don Wales (L) look on as the Bluebird Electric car is recovered after it veered off course and crashed during an attempt on the British land speed record on Pendine Sands on August 14, 2011 in Pendine, Wales. Driver Joe Wales was unhurt. Joe and his father, fellow driver Don Wales, come from a famous family who have been setting land and water speed records since 1924. He is the grandson of Sir Malcolm Campbell and nephew of Donald Campbell. Don holds the current UK record of 137 miles an hour reached at Pendine Sands in 2000.
