ARLINGTON, VA - NOVEMBER 01: Jim Palmer (R) salutes after receiving an American flag that covered the casket of his deceased brother, Air Force Col. Gilbert S. Palmer Jr. of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, during a burial service at Arlington National Cemetery November 1, 2011 in Arlington, Virginia. In February of 1968, Col. Palmer and one other crew member were carrying out photo reconnaissance of targets over Quang Binh, Vietnam when their plane crashed near the Vietnam and Laos border. Forensics teams recently identified remains found in Savannakhet Province, near the Vietnamese border as those of Palmer, more than 43 years after he went missing.
