Rod Stewart: Rod Stewart was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1999, and due to the cancer's slow growth, he underwent surgery in 2001. The surgery had a major impact on his voice and he, reportedly, had to learn how to sing again. Stewart made a full recovery after which he devoted himself to the cause of raising awareness about cancer. Stewart has since been raising funds for 'The City of Hope Foundation', so that all forms of cancer can be cured. less
