In a story Aug. 6 about the sale of The Washington Post, The Associated Press erroneously spelled the last name of a co-author of "The Innovator's DNA." The correct spelling is Hal Gregersen with an E, not Hal Gregerson with an O. Amazon is making it a bit easier for Web developers to bring their applications to mobile devices. The company announced that its Appstore now supports HTML5 Web apps. According to Amazon, Web developers can port their Web apps directly to Amazon's Appstore without any additional coding. While some dismissed the $250 million deal as the flashy act of an Internet billionaire, others speculated about why Jeffrey Bezos, the founder of Amazon, would want a publishing company and what he would do next. less
