Demonstrators gather outside the gates of Cyprus' presidential palace in the capital Nicosia, Cyprus, Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. About 5,000 people converged outside palace grounds to register their anger over what they say is President Christofias' and his government's responsibility for last July's detonation of seized Iranian munitions at a naval base that killed 13 people, wrecked the island's primary power station and precipitated a political and economic crisis. Among the demonstrators were family members of the victims who addressed the crowd. Demonstrators also called on Christofias to resign, something which he has rebuffed.
