Dressed as historical figure John Muir, third-grader Jonah Haberman, right, chats with classmate Cody Reuter, whose stoic portrayal of Frederick Law Olmsted helped bring history to life at Adams Elementary School Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Eugene, Ore. Sporting costumes, the students posed as historical characters in a “wax museum” exhibit in the school cafeteria for an audience of parents. Haberman's John Muir was a conservationist who co-founded the Sierra Club and worked to establish Yosemite as a National Park. Reuter's Frederick Law Olmsted is often referred to as the father of American landscape architecture and co-designed many urban parks, including Central Park in New York City.
