A handout picture released by the Pakistani government on 25 September 2013 shows people exploring an island that rose from the sea following a magnitude-7.7 earthquake, in Gwadar, Pakistan, 24 September 2013. The island, which appeared after the quake, is reportedly about 200m long, 100m wide and 20m high. Rescue efforts geared up on 25 September after the death toll from the magnitude-7.7 earthquake in south-western Pakistan climbed to 245, officials said, with 300 people were also injured.
