Employees of OTE the Greek Telecommunications Organization, chant slogans behind a flare during a protest in central Athens Thursday, June 2, 2011. Greece's finance ministry said Thursday it has invited Germany's Deutsche Telekom to up its stake in the country's dominant telecoms provider OTE, amid mounting European pressure to speed up privatization and cost-cutting. Greece has promised to privatize at least 50 billion euros in state holdings in real estate and corporations to help close funding gaps and meet its deficit targets. less
