People watch as circus workers perform as part of a protest against a law prohibiting the use of animals in circuses, in downtown Mexico City, July 22, 2014. The circus came to town in Mexico City on Tuesday to protest a local law prohibiting the use of circus animals in big tops, sparking cries from circus performers that the ban will spell ruin for their business. In June, Mexico City's government overwhelmingly passed a law which imposed stiff penalties of up to $60,000 on circuses in the capital using animals such as lions, camels and horses in their shows. Circuses have one year to comply with the ruling. REUTERS/Henry Romero (MEXICO - Tags: ANIMALS CIVIL UNREST BUSINESS EMPLOYMENT SOCIETY POLITICS) less
