2014 was already going to be a transition year for eBay. The online auction service fended off Carl Icahn's attempt to force it to sell its key Paypal asset. Now, shares are down as we get ready for Tuesday's trading day, with the company's president, David Marcus, stepping away to lead Facebook's messaging service.
