Extreme right activist Maurizio Boccacci, center, is seen amongst police in riot gear outside the Society of St. Pius X, a schismatic Catholic group, where the hearse carrying the coffin of Nazi war criminal Erich Priebke funeral entered for his funeral service, in Albano Laziale, on the outskirts of Rome, Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. Some 50 Priebke supporters gathered outside the society and were held back by riot police. Earlier hundreds of people shouted "murderer" and "executioner" as the hearse arrived at the society, who opposed the Vatican's outreach to Jews and currently has no legal standing in the Catholic Church. Priebke participated in one of the worst massacres of German-occupied Italy during World War II, the slaughter of 335 civilians at the Ardeatine Caves outside Rome. (AP Photo/Riccardo De Luca) less
