An ExxonMobil spokeswoman says twelve contract workers were hospitalized Wednesday, April 17, 2013 after a fire broke out in a processing unit at Beaumont's ExxonMobil refinery. Spokeswoman Rachael L. Moore says in a statement that six of those hurt Wednesday at the refinery in Beaumont were being transported to hospitals for further treatment. She says their conditions were not immediately known. The fire happened around 10:30 a.m. in a process unit that was down for maintenance at the refinery. All other employees have been accounted for.
