Phil Falcone, the head of Harbinger Capital Partners, which owns LightSquared, arrives at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, New York January 16, 2014. LightSquared went bankrupt in May of 2012, when the Federal Communications Commission blocked its efforts to build a wireless network amid fears it could interfere with GPS devices. LightSquared and its owner, Harbinger Capital Partners, accuse Dish Network Corp Chairman Charles Ergen of improperly buying the debt as a way for Dish to take control of LightSquared's wireless broadband rights.
