A county prosecutor was expected to announce on Friday whether charges will be filed against a suburban Detroit man who police said fatally shot a woman on his porch who had come to his house seeking help after a car crash.

The killing of the unarmed Renisha McBride, 19, in the early morning on November 2 has brought questions from her family and demonstrations from civil rights leaders who suggested racial profiling might have played a role in the case. (Reuters)
