Stock futures edged higher, trading in a tight range ahead of the start of a highly anticipated Federal Reserve meeting. The Federal Open Market Committee Meeting starts and stock futures have all gone up in response. Even before the meeting starts, inflation and housing data will be released. S&P 500 futures rose 1.4 points, NASDAQ 100 futures added 5 points, and Dow Jones Industrial futures rose 31 points. President Barack Obama hinted in an interview that he may be looking for a new chief of the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank, saying Ben Bernanke has stayed a lot longer than the current chairman had originally planned. less
