And with less than six months to go until the London Olympics, the timing couldn't be any better. British Olympic champions past and present are united in tipping this to be Britain's most successful regatta in the modern era. Britain won two golds in a haul of six medals in the Beijing Games in 2008, the country's biggest total since the 1908 Olympics in London. Four years on and back on home soil, the expectation among a squad which topped the medals table at the world championship in Bled, Slovenia last year is for far more.
