FILE - In this Dec. 6, 2011 file picture Germany's Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble delivers a speech during the meeting "A new course for Europe?" in Vienna, Austria. Word in background reads : Europe. The committee for a German prize honoring individuals who contribute to European unity have selected Wolfgang Schaeuble to receive its 2012 award. The Charlemagne Prize said Saturday Dec. 10, 2011 that the German finance minister had contributed steadily to stabilizing the euro currency union and, through that, to overall European unity. Last year's prize also rewarded efforts to save the 17-nation euro, then European Central Bank head Jean-Claude Trichet. Previous prize winners include U.S. President Bill Clinton (2000) and British Prime Minister Tony Blair (1999). (AP Photo/Ronald Zak,File) less
