Daimler AG said it earned euro 1.05 billion (US$ 1.4 billion) in the fourth quarter as revenue rose by nearly a quarter — capping a year in which a recovering global market and strong Chinese demand helped the German car maker rocket back into the black. The figure released Wednesday, Feb 16, 2011 for the October-December period contrasts with a loss of euro 348 million a year earlier. Revenues were up 24 percent to euro 26.4 billion from euro 21.32 billion. less
