FILE - In this Feb. 19, 2010 file photo, rail cars sit idled on the Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway junction in Oakfield, Maine. From this point the line heads west to Houlton, Maine and north to Presque Isle, Easton, Caribou, Limestone, Fort Kent and Madawaska. The state has agreed to purchase 233 miles of railroad track in Aroostook and Penobscot counties and will try to keep freight trains running in northern Maine by finding a company to operate the lines, officials said Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010. less
