File - In this June 22, 2011 file photo, an Italian Carabinieri police officer shows recovered jewelry said to have belonged to the late Argentine first lady Eva Peron that was stolen from a store in Spain nearly two years ago. Spanish police say they have recovered euro6 million ($9 million) in jewels stolen in an elaborate scam in which one culprit posed as an Arab sheikh and another hid inside a desk across which millions in cash were changing hands. The jewels stolen from a store in Valencia were found last week in a hotel strong box in Milan, Italy and Italian officials announced this at the time. Spain's National Police gave details of the 2009 robbery and con job in a statement issued Wednesday June 29, 2011. (AP Photo/Antonio Calanni, File) less
