FILE- In this May 20, 2010, file photo, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ Grand Stair, newly rebuilt with LED lights, glows “Welcome” in multiple languages as the re-designed water fountain is lit on the plaza in New York. The board of the financially troubled New York City Opera has voted on Friday, May 20, 2011 to move out of its home at Lincoln Center, cut staff and scale back its performance schedule as it fights for its survival. Friday's move comes as the 68-year-old organization is dealing with a dwindling endowment, a multimillion-dollar deficit, and contentious negotiations with its union staff. less
