FILE - In this May 23, 1961 file photo, civil rights leaders, from front to back, John Lewis, Martin Luther King Jr., Rev. Ralph Abernathy and James Farmer, hold a news conference in Montgomery, Ala. to announce that the Freedom Rides will continue. Lewis, one of the riders that was beaten, wears a bandage on his head. A 1960 recording of an interview with King never before heard in public is up for sale. The tape was recorded by a Chattanooga man hoping to write a book and captures King talking about his trip to Africa, and his certainty that the child he and Coretta Scott King were expecting would be a boy.
