FILE - In this Oct. 13, 1976, file photo, a Palestinian Fatah guerrilla fires his 50 caliber machine gun at Syrian troops, near the resort town of Bhamdoun, mount Lebanon. The Lebanese civil war itself played out in several stages between 1975 and 1990. Over that time, Christians fought Palestinians, Lebanese Sunni and Shiite Muslims and Druse. At one point, Christian groups turned their guns on each other, in a nasty episode of fratricidal bloodshed later repeated by Shiite militias. (AP Photo/Zuhair Saade, File) less
