Democratic voters have an early message for Obama about his 2012 re-election hopes: Not so fast. An Associated Press-Knowledge Networks Poll shows that the President's own party is split over whether he should face a serious opponent in the 2012 presidential primaries, with 51 percent of Democrats against a contest but 47 percent favoring it. The finding underscores how disenchanted the Democrat party has grown after nearly two years of controlling the White House and Congress during a stubborn economic slide. less
