File photo of Bayern Munich's president Uli Hoeness before the Uli Hoeness Cup friendly soccer match between Bayern Munich and Barcelona in Munich July 24, 2013. Hoeness, one Germany's most admired managers before admitting he hid millions of euros in Swiss bank accounts, goes on trial March 10, 2014, on tax evasion charges in a case that shocked the nation and eroded tolerance of cheats. The 62-year-old Hoeness, who helped turn Bayern Munich into one of the world's most respected soccer dynasties that also won the 2013 Champions League title, has admitted he evaded taxes. He has since paid the back taxes and fines he owed. But he was still charged in July with tax evasion after a long investigation and could still be convicted and possibly sentenced to jail by a Munich state court.
