FILE - In this photo made Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 file photo, Journalist Mikhail Beketov, who was brutally beaten and left brain-damaged in 2008, meets with reporters in his house in Moscow's suburb of Khimki, Russia. The ongoing battle over the highway that is supposed to cut through the Khimki forest has unleashed an uproar involving some of Russia's most intractable issues: corruption, abuse of power and freedom of speech. Journalists reporting on it have been brutally beaten, their skulls cracked and fingers broken, with Kommersant reporter Oleg Kashin apparently the most recent victim. less
