1985: (FILE PHOTO) Poet Laureate Ted Hughes (1930 - 1998) unveils a memorial to WWI poets at Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey on November 11, 1985 in London, England. On December 6, 2011 a Welsh slate carved memorial, to the former Poet Laureate Ted Hughes who died in 1998, will be unveiled in the Poets' Corner alongside other British literary giants including Lord Alfred Tennyson, D.H. Lawrence, T.S. Eliot and William Shakespeare. Guests including his widow, Carol Hughes, and poet Seamus Heaney will attend the ceremony in Westminster Abbey tomorrow evening.
