FILE - In this Sept. 15, 1982, file photo, Lebanese leftist militiamen took to the streets following the news that the Israeli forces were back again in the heart of West Beirut, Lebanon. The Lebanese civil war itself played out in several stages between 1975 and 1990. Over that time, Christians fought Palestinians, Lebanese Sunni and Shiite Muslims and Druse.
