Firefighters and police try to break a chain used by a Greenpeace activist to chain herself to a fuel pump during a protest at a Gazprom gas station near the city of Blagoevgrad, some 100km (62miles) south of Sofia, September 26, 2013. Activists of Greenpeace from central and eastern Europe blocked the gas station, chaining themselves to the fuel pumps and hanging a banner reading "Gazprom out of the Arctic". The protest was organised against Gazprom's plans to drill for oil in the Arctic, and also to demand the release of the 30 Greenpeace activists detained in Russia.
