The WWII Airborne Demonstration team joined battalions of British, Canadian and American paratroopers in an air drop on June 5 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings. They recreated the iconic scene from 1944 when soldiers were dropped behind German lines during the greatest military invasion in history.

The footage is taken from the perspective of a paratrooper jumping from an aircraft over Foucarville, Normandy. Credit: YouTube/Paul Arentz
