France's Prime Minister Francois Fillon, left, delivers his speech Wednesday Aug. 24, 2011 in Paris. Sitting from the right are Social Cohesion minister Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Budget minister Valerie Pecresse, Health and Labor minister Xavier Bertrand, Finance minister Francois Baroin. Fillon says France won't reach its economic growth targets this year or next and he is announcing euro 11 billion ($15.9 billion) in new austerity measures. With France increasingly called upon to bail out weaker eurozone nations, and with its own debts mounting and growth anemic, France is casting about for ways to reduce its deficit.
