Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili gestures, during a military parade marking Georgia's Independence Day, in Tbilisi, Georgia, Thursday, May 26, 2011. Georgian officials said Thursday a police officer and a demonstrator were killed during the violent clearing of an anti-government protest in the capital Tbilisi. The demonstration was designed to impede an Independence Day military parade, which began on the capital city's central avenue without any signs of the chaos that blemished it overnight. less
