They robbed a mail train in the United Kingdom, stealing tens of millions of dollars in today's money. Biggs would become known as 'The Great Train Robber.' He went on to live as a fugitive for over three decades before finally surrendering in 2001. Ronnie Biggs died this week at the age of 84. less
