Greek state tourism promotion posters cover the empty front of a closed shop in central Athens next to a yellow for sale sign, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011. Hundreds of shops in the austerity-afflicted capital's commercial heart have closed down over the past two years as a result of a severe credit crunch compounded by consumers' severely reduced spending power after more than 20 months of salary and pension cuts and tax hikes. After running up a huge public debt and massive budget overspending, Greece is being kept solvent by international rescue loans. (AP Photo/Dimitri Messinis) less
