The HMS Queen Elizabeth, a new multi-billion dollar aircraft carrier, was named at Rosyth Dockyard in Scotland on July 4. Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, formally named the 65,000-tonne ship in a ceremony at the dockyard, the location where the carrier was assembled and fitted out. These videos, from the UK’s defence ministry, show the moment the craft was formally named and a description of how the ship will be used. Credit: YouTube/defenceheadquarters
