Hand-colored Calvin & Hobbes artwork by cartoonist Bill Watterson sold for $203,150, a record for auctioned newspaper comic strip art, previously held by a Peanuts original that sold for $113,530 in 2007. From Nov. 19, 1986, it is the first published strip of the comic known to come to auction. Watterson's last daily syndicated strip was published in 1995
