This image of a painting by artist Ejay Weiss is provided by the artist who witnessed the collapse of the World Trade towers on Sept. 11, 2001, from his apartment in Chelsea, just north of Lower Manhattan in New York. Weiss painted nine canvases in the series between 2001 and 2002. Almost 10 years after the twin towers collapsed, Weiss' series titled "9/11 Elegies: 2001-2011" is finally complete. It now consists of 12 paintings currently on display inside the Narthex Gallery at Saint Peter's Church in New York. The final three paintings, shown here, comprise a triptych representing a more hopeful view of the area. (AP Photo/Ejay Weiss) less
