In this Jan. 30, 2014 photograph, Brynn McCarver, left, hands off one of some 3,500 Southern Magnolia seedlings she and a platoon of volunteers wrapped on Thursday morning. The group gathered at the Olive Branch, Miss. city maintenance shop to separate and individually wrap the seedlings for give-a-way to third graders all over the county beginning Monday. ìItís exciting and a bit over whelming to see so many volunteer their time and I am looking forward to sharing with the students about conservation and how each of us can protect the integrity of the counties natural landscape, Brynn stated. The program is sponsored by the DeSoto County Soil & Water Conservation District and precedes the public give-a-way which will be held the following week.
