Afghan President Hamid Karzai met with US National Security Advisor Susan Rice on November 25 amid Karzai’s refusal to sign a security pact before elections in April. The deal would allow US troops to remain in Afghanistan beyond the end of 2014. The meeting in Kabul came a day after Karzai defied a call for implementation of the deal from the Loya Jirga assembly which he called last week. Credit: Afghan Presidency less
