Ken Quick sits in his RV in Reno, Nev., Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 near the airport where the Reno Air Races were being held. The Reno Air Races was cancelled after pilot Jimmy Leeward plane crashed on Friday that killed nine people, including Leeward, authorities say. Quick, a commercial airline pilot with 40 years in the sky, has been an air race fan for decades. He's also a crew member for one of teams racing that day in Reno. "Pilots are a special breed of confident, intelligent, driven perfectionists," Quick said. "They know what they do is dangerous and demanding, and they eagerly embrace both."
