Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta (L) bids farewell to his Deputy William Ruto (R) at the Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi October 12, 2013, before departing for the African Union summit in Addis Ababa. African nations have agreed that sitting heads of state should not be put on trial by the International Criminal Court where Kenya's leaders are in the dock, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom said at a ministerial meeting. The ministers of the 54-member African Union also called for deferring the cases of Kenyan President Kenyatta and his deputy, Ruto, the minister said after a meeting to discuss Africa's relations with the court based in The Hague.
