NASIRIYAH, IRAQ - DECEMBER 17: Major Christina Lewis (L) and Staff Sergeant Derrick Williams of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division take inventory of Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAP) while waiting at a staging area in Camp Adder to be part of the last U.S. military convoy to leave the country on December 17, 2011 near Nasiriyah, Iraq. All U.S. troops were scheduled to have departed Iraq by December 31st, 2011. At least 4,485 U.S. military personnel died in service in Iraq.
